Mainline 2wd 600P Chassis Dyno Features

Our Mainline chassis dynamometer system includes all the essential analytic and tuning tools required for vehicle fault diagnosis, general engine tuning, and performance enhancement applications.  In addition to the essential features, our dyno includes several advanced features and modules that are available but may require additional setup time and cost to install and configure.  We are also setup to allow for remote tuning if your preferred tuner is not local.


  • Quality Frenelsa Eddy Brake retarder (Power absorption unit)
  • Road Load, Fixed Load/ Torque, Linear and Non-Linear Ramp / Pull Tests, Drag Strip Run Time Simulations
  • Fully Loaded Dyno Ramp Pulls - power calculated from measured torque (Unlike inertia type dynos)
  • Run duration (Time) can be maintained with increasing performance levels (Unlike inertia dynos)
  • Max Roller Power up to 1200Hp with a  Max Roller Torque up to 1254Ftlbs
  • Up to 155 mph test speeds
  • Track width from 21 to 86 inches.  (ATV, SXS, FWD, RWD to 3/4 and 1 Ton SRW Trucks)

Modes of Operation


Our Mainline dyno uses a Frenelsa Eddy Brake retarder (PAU) instead of Inertia to absorb the power giving our customer a number of options during your time on the dyno. These options are Steady state and dynamic power acceleration / ramp / pull / tests that are highly Repeatable. 

  • Fixed Speed (Steady State Control)   This gives us the ability to hold the vehicle at a set vehicle speed or engine RPM.  By doing this, your tuner can access most areas of your engine maps and make changes and see results in real time.
  • Fixed Torque (Variable Speed Fixed Load / Torque Control)
  • Linear Ramp Test also known as a Dyno Pull
  • Non-Linear Ramp Test
  • User Definable Non-Linear Ramp

Wide Band O2 Sensor

Our Mainline Dyno is equipped with a high precision Bosch LSU4.9 wideband O2 sensor.

  • Wide band AFR meter kit (Definable – Petrol, Diesel, LPG, CNG, Methanol, Ethanol, E10 & E85)
  • Lambda, Lambda Equivalence Ratio, Air: Fuel Ratio, or Fuel: Air Ratio or Custom Stoichiometric selections
  • Target Air: Fuel Ratio, & on-screen graphical correction calculator
  • Target Fuel Correction Table + Advanced Fuel Correction Calculators
  • Custom Fuel AFR (Based on Fuel Specific Gravity & Stoic value)

Fuel System Analysis and Diagnostic Suite

Our Mainline Dyno is equipped with a state of the art Fuel System Analysis and Diagnostic module allowing us to help you diagnose or size your entire fuel system.


Injector Duty Cycle Module

  • IDC Module-Injector Duty Cycle Module measures and logs injector duty cycle.


Fuel Flow Analysis

  • 2 High precision fuel flow sensors measures both return and returnless style fuel systems.  This can help determine if your fuel pump, lines and pressure regulator are up to the task of supplying your engine with sufficient fuel for your desired power.
  • Ethanol content sensor or Flex fuel sensor
  • Fuel Pressure sensor
  • Fuel Temperature sensor

This logs coil charge times, spark duration and duty cycle.

Vehicle Cooling

We have multipule cooling fan options to help keep your Engine coolant and Intake temps in checks.  Doing steady state tuning generates heavy loads on your vehicle and requires a lot of air moving over your heat exchangers.  Our largest cooling fan is powered by a 10hp 3 phase electric motor and moves a vast amount of air at tremendous speed which helps speed up the tuning process and is used primarily for steady state tuning.

Exhaust Extraction

Our shop uses a ducted overhead Exhaust extraction system allowing us to keep the doors closed and making for a more comfortable experience during all seasons.
